The area offers a wide range of beaches which will enable
you to choose from the quietness of the small coves of
rolling stones, to the big sandy beaches, or those of
higher environmental value.
Within less than ten kilometres there are lots of tinny
farming and cattle breeding villages, and spot like "El
valle feliz" (The glad valley) (old gold-mining
site which is very interesting from the botanic, geologic,
and aesthetic point of view). |

A day’s trip can take you to: Taramundi,
visit the traditional blacksmith workshops; the Navía’s
basin, canoe the river down; Luarca, Tapia or Ribadeo,
have fun at their festivities and enjoy their nightlife;
Coaña, visit the castro "El Castellón"
Celtic ruins; or to Las Catedrales (The Cathedrals),
one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
La Senda, (The Path), is a trekking, or bicycle
touring, path that runs parallel to the coastline, from
where you will be able to see the most impressive cliffs
and delightful coves. Las Áreas Recreativas, (Picnic
Areas), have toilets, tables and barbecues to help
enjoy a peaceful meal in the countryside (some have swings,
slides…). |
